He is a social activist & a commentator. His commentaries, thought provoking posts on facebook & Youtube videos have made him an internet sensation.
Personal Life & Family
Keerthi was born to Udaykumar (Father) & Lalita Udaykumar (Mother) in ShankaraGhatta, Shivamogga District, Karnataka. His name "Keerthi" means fame. He has a brother named Shivu.
He is married to Arpitha Keerthi (wife), and has a son named Avishkar.

Education:
- Primary School: He studied in his village Shankaraghatta's school.
- High School: He studied at Sri Aurabindo high school, Shankaraghatta
- Journalism: He studied journalism from Sahyadri College, Shivamogga, then later at Kuvempu University, Shimoga.
Career
He has worked with Public TV as a new project Editor, worked as an editor at Samaya TV, Samaya News & at the Advertisement company "Ideathma". He has worked as a Producer at Colors Kannada. As an Associate producer at Kasturi Media Pvt Ltd. He has been part of TV & News Media since 2007.
He is a write as well, once in a while he writes in Kannada news papers. He is an editor of online news paper "The New Indian Times"
Bigg Boss Season 4: Keerthi entered Bigg Boss house along with 14 other contestants. Famous names like Mohan, Malavika Avinash, Sparsha Rekha, Shalini of Papa Pandu fame, Sheetal Shetty-actress & TV personality, Bhuvan Ponnanna- actor, budding director Pratham are also participating in the competition.
Kirik Keerthi is considered as one of the strongest contestants, he is liked for his sense of humor, complete involvement in activities, straight forwardness & overall goodness. He is one of the last few remaining in the house.
He occasionally makes videos in collaboration with others. He recently made a video "Namma Bengaluru" as a director, the team includes Chandan Shetty, Suman, Aditi Rao, Vikram Yoganand and others.
Activism
He is involved with works supporting Kannada Language. He stood with the people of Karnataka during Kaveri Issue, by extending his support and approaching Bangalore Software companies (viz Accenture) to join Bangalore people in a silent protest against the Supreme Court decision. |
