Bhuvann Ponnanna was born in Coorg, Karnataka to Daty Poovaiah (Mother) & Ulliyada M Poovaiah Brahmagiri (Father), he has a younger brother Raghav Mandanna.

Bhuvan was into Modelling & Harikathe before entering the film industry. He has been part of many TV Ads & other commercials.

Bhuvan entered the film industry in 2007, he remained unknown until recently. He is the lead actor in few of the upcoming Kannada movies, his participation in Bigg Boss Season 4 has made him a familiar face among the Kannadigas.

Film Career

Bhuvan made his entry into films through Just Math Mathalli(2010) a movie directed by and starring Sudeep starring Ramya & Others.

Bhuvan has appeared on screen in couple other films like Manjunatha BA,LLB(2012) (with Jaggesh in the lead), Kool...Sakkath Hot Maga(2011) where he played the anti-hero role against Ganesh

Bhuvan has acted in the movie Love Darbar with his Coorg Colleague Harshika Poonacha, the movie was shot in 2014.

Bhuvan Ponnappa has worked as a Visual Effects editor Off the Camera as well.

"Kuchiku Kuchiku" a movie directed by D Rajendra Babu starring Bhuvan went unreleased.

He has tried his chances in Tollywood (Telugu Film industry) as well.

TV Appearance

Bhuvan was originally cast in a TV serial named "Shuba Vivaha", Bhuvan came out of the serial citing lack of opportunity for his character in the show.

Indian: He was one of the participants in the ETV Kannada reality show "Indian" where the competitors entered different states of the country and participated in different challenges across the country, Sunami Kitty was the winner of that reality show.

Bigg Boss Season 4: Bhuvan is one of the 14 contestants to enter the season 4 Bigg Boss house alongside Kirik Keerthi, Shalini, Sparsha Rekha, Malavika Avinash, Director Pratham, Sheetal Shetty, Actor Mohan & Others.

Bhuvan is one of the last few participants to still remain in the house, he is liked for his honesty & Openness.
