Meghana Raj was born on Thursday, 3 May 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka to Sundar Raj (Father) a veteran Kannada actor with Tamil ancestry & Pramila Joshai (Mother) a well known actress in Kannada films. Meghana is the only child of her parents.
Sundar Raj has acted in more than 190 movies with roles varying from hero, villain, comic, supporting actor, friend & parent. Pramila Joshai has acted in more than 120 movies, she had been a lead actress for a while, then took supporting characters.

Pramila Joshai is a Christian by faith & Sundar Raj a Hindu, Meghana was brought up in a mutli-faith background, respecting and adopting both her parents' traditions.
Education: She studied in Christ University, Bangalore for her graduation in Psychology.
Movie Career
Meghana had appeared in many theatre dramas even as a child. Meghana was first roped into the movies by the famous K Balachander of Tamil industry, after seeing her at an audio launch event, he offered her a role in the movie "Krishnaleelai", the movie was completely shot, but never made out of production house.
Her first release was Telugu movie Bendu Apparao R.M.P(2009), a comedy movie directed by E V V Satyanarayana, starring Allari Naresh, Meghana Raj and Kamna Jethmalani.
Kannada Debut: Meghana made her debut in Kannada through Punda (2010) , a remake of Tamil film Polladhavan , it's a Drama, Romance movie by H Vasudev starring: Yogesh, Meghana Raj, Sharath Lohitashwa.
Tamil Debut: Meghana next made her debut in Tamil through Kaadhal Solla Vandhen (2010). A romance film written and directed by Boopathy Pandian with Yuthan Balaji, Meghana Raj, Karthik Sabesh.
Malayalam Debut: Meghana entered Malayalam movies through the horror film Yakshiyum Njanum(2010)by Vinayan, starring Spadikam George, Gautham Krishn, Meghana Raj.
Meghana lent her voice for the song "Pacha Manja" in the Malayalam movie "100 Degree Celsius". She again sang for the upcoming movie of director Pratham "Devravne Bidu Guru"

Controversy
A business man from Tamil Nadu, Janardhan, accused Meghana of cheating him, he alleged in his complaint to Bangalore city police that she had promised him of marriage and she has stolen all the proof for his allegation.
She was linked with Malayalam actor Anoop Menon, Meghana rejects it as media made up, that it has become common to link co-stars these days, she comments "I don't know, every time my name comes up in Gossips, its related to marriage. I think some people want me to get married." |
