Biography

Sathyaraj is a prominent Tamil Actor, Film producer, Comedian, Director who has appeared in other South Indian languages as well. He has mostly acted as a villain.

Childhood, Family & Personal Life

Sathyaraj was born as Rangaraj Subbaiah on 3rd October 1954 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu to Subbaiyan(Father) and Nathambal(Mother).

Sathyaraj had 2 younger daughters, Kalpana Mandradiar and Roopa Senapathy, Roopa Senapathy is married to Dr. Periannan Senapathy.

He married Maheswari in 1979 & has two children, a son named Sibi Sathyaraj who is an actor & daughter named Divya Sathyaraj.

TV Career: He used to host a gameshow titled Home Sweet Home on STAR Vijay TV.

In 1976 Sathyaraj left home to become an actor, He joined the drama troupe of Komal Swamynathan. 

Movie Debut: Sattam En Kaiyil(1978) a Tamil film directed by T. N. Balu with Kamal Haasan, Sripriya.

As a production Manager: Satyaraj worked as a production manager for few movies including Kannan Oru Kaikkuzhanthai, in which he would also act in small roles.

Debut as director: Sathyaraj started directing movies with Villadhi Villain (1995). Nagma, Radhika were in the lead along with Sathyaraj.
