Biography

Pony Verma is an Indian choreographer, who especially has choreographed movies and dance shows in Bolylwood. She has choreographer around 30 movies so far.

Pony Verma was born Rashmi Verma, she was a premature baby, when she was born her skin was soft and wrinkled resembling Pona (cloth used to make Chapathis in Punjab), thus she was called Pony by her aunt, the name got stuck with her throughout childhood, eventually she changed her first name to Pony.

Pony made her debut into chereography through the movie Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar, a 2001 Hindi comedy movie directed by Priyadarshan and starring Sunil Shetty, Mahima Chaudhry, Paresh Rawal.

Pony Verma Marriage with Prakash Raj: Being friends in the industry, Pony Verma & Prakash Raj had known each other for a long time, Prakash Raj had a divorce with his first wife Lalitha Kumari in 2009.

Prakash Raj and Pony Verma got married on August 24, 2010. The Punjabi Hindu traditions were observed at the wedding. The event was atteneded by family, friends & well wishers in the industry. Reception was held in Sahara Hotel, Mumbai.

They had a baby boy in February, 2016, the boy is named Vedhanth Prakash Raj.
