| Story Summary | Sage Vishwamitra and Sage Vashishta(Raja Harishchandra's guru) enter into a debate on the Satyavrathe(adherence to truth) of Harishchandra.Sage Vishwamitra tests the pious and truthful Raja harishchandra and in the process takes over his whole kingdom from the king himself as Dakshina(alms). The unfailing truthfulness of Raja harishchandra is the highlight of this movie in the process of which he sells even his wife along with his son but swerves not from the path of truth. |
