StorylineThis is the first Indian sound film. Quest of Alam Ara to avenge her father's death.
Story SummaryThere is Kamarpur and an old king who rules it. He has two queens, Navbahar and Dilbahar, both who are against each other. A fakir predicts that Navbahar's son will succeed the king. To avoid that Dilbahar tries to seduce the army chief Adil but in vain and hence destroys his family. However his daughter, Alam Ara, gets raised by the nomads. Alam ara's friends invade the palace, expose Dilbahar's plots, release Adil from the dungeon. Alam Ara marries the prince.
