Naresh Vijaya is a Telugu film & Television actor, comedian who has been working in Telugu films since 1970. He has appeared in few Tamil & Hindi movies as well. He has acted in around 130 movies.

Naresh Vijaya was born on 20th January 1960 as Naresh Krishna Murthy, to Vijaya Nirmala(Mother), and K S Murthy(Father) in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh. His mother is a popular film actress.

 Career

Movie Debut: Naresh acted as a child in the Telugu family drama Pandanti Kapuram(1972) directed by Lakshmi Deepak with S. V. Ranga Rao, Ghattamaneni Krishna, Gummadi, Vijayanirmala, B.Saroja Devi.

Entry in to politics: Naresh joined BJP in 1990s during AB Vajapayee's era, stayed there till 2009 elections and gave it up after he lost the elections in 2009. He was at once president of State BJP team.

TV career: In 1991, he acted in the DD Telugu serial "Munimanikyam Gari Kantham Kadhalu", he received best actor award for his role. He took to TV during an era when it was considered taboo for a film actor.

Amrutham aired on Gemini TV was another serial he was part of.
